IVGID Public Works Waste Not Conservation Program

Promoting our programs!

A Foundational Experience

I worked for the Waste Not Conservation Program within the Public Works Department at the Incline Village General Improvement District (IVGID) on the Nevada State-side of Lake Tahoe. I got my foot-in-the-door as an AmeriCorps Member in 2014, was hired on full-time at the end of my service in 2015, and received a promotion in 2019 due to my increasing level of responsibility. I left this great job in 2022 since I decided to pursue a full-time MBA program at the University of San Diego.

I single handedly wrote five annual sustainability reports between 2016 and 2020. Click here to read the reports.

I managed a sustainability benchmarking and certification process which brought success to Diamond Peak Ski Resort in the form of boosted sales and revenues. Click here to view details.

I conducted numerous presentations depicting the impact of my work. Click here to view one of my presentation samples on sustainability progress.

The organization’s work focuses on local environmental and sustainable living programs ranging from natural resource impact analysis, bear awareness, tap water confidence, litter cleanup events to residential hazardous and electronic waste collection for recycling or proper disposal.
